Hortobágy National Park
When planning a long weekend or holiday in the Great Plain, one of the first places that comes to mind is Hortobágy National Park. Hungarospa – Hajdúszoboszló
Thanks to the variety of places to visit on the Great Plain, children are not limited in their options when it comes to experiences. Hajdúszoboszló boasts a huge bathing complex with large pools, waterfalls and a real aqua park for the little ones. Meanwhile, parents looking for a rest can take a dip in the thermal baths. Sóstó Museum Village – Nyíregyháza
Just a 10-minute walk from the zoo, you'll find the Sóstó Museum Village, which will take you back to 19th-century village life with its various activities and meals. You can learn about the folk traditions and activities of the time. You can ride on horseback or in a horse-
drawn carriage. You can learn how jam, pickled cabbage, corn and pipiske (bird shaped buns) were made in the old days. What's more, you can get to know the flavours of the local food of that time by tasting it yourself. Traditional summer camps for children are also
organised on site. The village's open-air stage offers a variety of activities nearly every day.
